“I’m a Samoan, born and raised in the hard lands of New Zealand and now living in Sydney, Australia with my beautiful wife and little girl Cleo; she’s an english bulldog.
I first started tattooing from home in South Auckland with a home-made tattoo machine my cousin made out of a mini radio, ballpoint pen, and remote control car coil. Eventually upgrading (slight upgrade) and buying a cheap $120 tattoo kit online, I started practicing on family and friends.
Like many kiwi artists I was self-taught and had help from one of my homeboys, Duss, who was tattooing all the boys in the hood including myself, so he’d give me tips as he was tattooing me. I spent a year working in the backyard and then got a spot at the parlor where Duss was working, and the rest is history.”
